Ping Lu is an author known for her literary fiction, short stories, and essays exploring social issues, cultural identity, gender, politics, history, and human rights. Her writings have been translated into more than seven languages, with an upcoming German version of her work The River Darkens.
Ma Yi-Hang, an Indigenous Pinuyumayan from Taiwan, holds a PhD in Taiwan Literature and has served as the chief editor of Youth Literary Magazine. His poetry and essays explore struggles related to gender and cultural identity.
In this event, the two authors will show the diversity in Taiwan’s literary scene, and how their works reflect Taiwan’s social realities and cultural identity.
