This event introduces the first new English translation of Marx’s ‘Capital’ in fifty years. Reitter will explain how the new rendering reflects the circumstances of its production and how it differs from the earlier efforts, comparing, for example, what the different translations  do with Marx’s conceptual language and some of the key literary features of his text.
