Synopsis: Lucia Lijtmaer and her German translator, Kirsten Brandt, will talk about the translation of the play Cauterio.

Lucía Lijtmaer (Buenos Aires, 1977)  is a journalist, cultural curator, literary translator and university professor. 

Brigitte Kleine (Frankfurt am Main, 1968) is a freelance journalist and producer of documentaries and cultural programmes for the Franco-German television channel ARTE and the German broadcaster ARD.

Kirsten Brandt (*1963) trained as a bookseller before studying Portuguese, English and German philology in Frankfurt, Hamburg and Portugal. Between 1996 and 2002 she lived in Barcelona, where she worked as a literary agent, head of the copyright department at the publishing house Quaderns Crema/Acantilado and translator. In 2002 she returned to Germany, where she translated Spanish, Catalan and Portuguese literature into German
