Launched in July 2012, the Publication Industry Promotion Agency of Korea (KPIPA) is a public institution under the Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Tourism of the Republic of Korea, whose task is to create a basis for a sustainable and future-oriented culture and industry of publishing.

KPIPA carries out support projects suitable for each stage of the cycle of creation, distribution, and consumption of publications, and endeavors in many ways to grow the publishing industry, including research on domestic and international publishing policies, support for the production and distribution of e-books, and reading campaigns.
