About Iranban:
Iranban is a multi‑award‑winning, independent children’s book publishing company based on Iran, dedicated to providing children and young adult with books of the best quality.
We began publishing child-focused, books in 2000 with the aim of creating books that encourage children to read for pleasure and entertainment, as well as awareness and knowledge.
We publish high-quality, commercial fiction and non-fiction books for children and young adults. (More than 500 titles) Creating well-designed books is important to us, and we give a lot of thought to the covers and the type and weight of the paper used for books, so that they are pleasing to the eye.
All of our fictional books appear simultaneously in print and e-books, and many of our titles are also available as audiobooks.
What’s important to us?
Good books; we know it’s subjective, but Iranban wants to be proud of everything it publishes and creates. We want to insure that it meets the needs of the reader (or an emerging reader), in the best way possible. That means great illustration, great design, and really great authorship and translation. We go out of our way to find these qualities in new and established talents.
Authors, illustrators and creative talent:
We recognize that it’s a privilege to be entrusted with other people’s creative works. Therefore, we try to be nurturing, responsive, speedy and fair in our relationships with authors, illustrators, translators, book promotors and other creative individuals. We want them to enjoy working with us and being part of Iranban.
International thinking:
We have enjoyed decades of friendship and companionship with the international world of book reading. During our career, we have translated many books that have been successful around the world and we have a strong understanding of global markets.
It is one of our honors to have cooperated with Penguin Random house, Bloomsbury, Fischer, Bonnier Zaffer - Hot key, Arena, Simon & Schuster, Atlantis, Rights and brands, Crown house, Mertinwett,... publications.
Our corporate responsibility:
Doing the Right Thing at Iranban, we believe in children’s rights. We are committed to working exclusively with translators who are ethical and responsible in their life and career.
All in all, the fact that Iranian children can read great books with great illustrations makes us absolutely happy and we are grateful to be a part of the body which facilitates that.
