Fedelatina: Latin American Voices from Catalonia

Frankfurt Book Fair 2025

Based in Catalonia, Fedelatina (Federation of Latin American Entities in Catalonia) supports a diverse network of Latin American writers and cultural creators who, from a migrant experience, weave stories, memories, and reflections that engage with the pressing issues of our time: identity, exile, resistance, gender, ancestry, and the future.

Our authors come from various Latin American countries and have found in Catalonia a place to continue writing, narrating, and publishing. We are storytellers, poets, essayists, illustrators, children's authors, and cultural organizers. We share a vision: literature as a tool for transformation, living memory, and a bridge between cultures.

What We Write

The literary work we promote is characterized by:

• Narratives of migration and belonging, giving voice and shape to experiences of displacement, structural racism, and identity reconstruction.
• Collective memory and untold histories, bringing to light the voices of women, Afro-descendant, Indigenous, and LGTBIQ+ communities from a decolonial perspective.
• Poetry as a political and spiritual act, celebrating ancestral knowledge, connection with the land, and love as a form of resistance.
• Intercultural children’s literature, offering inclusive, sensitive stories with a human rights perspective.
• Critical essays and thought, focused on gender, social justice, human rights, and Latin American popular culture.

Working in Networks

Beyond publishing, Fedelatina organizes literary festivals, reading circles, workshops, podcasts, radio programs, and artivism projects that blend literature with music, film, and visual arts.

Our participation in the Frankfurt Book Fair is an opportunity to build connections with publishers, writers, translators, institutions, and literary networks from all over the world. We aim to share our experiences, make our voices heard, translate our works, and contribute to a truly global literary dialogue.
