The Philippines has been accorded the singular distinction as the Guest of Honour (GoH) country at the 77th Frankfurter Buchmesse (FBM) in 2025 (Frankfurt Book Fair 2025). Every year, FBM puts the spotlight on a different country as the Guest of Honour. The Frankfurter Buchmesse is hailed as the oldest and the largest book fair in the world.  Since 1976, the FBM has been naming a GoH country whose publishing industry and other cultural products become the highlight of the fair. The GoH country is given a special pavilion, which features major publishers and other important industry representatives of the country.

This initiative is a collaborative undertaking of the National Commission for Culture and the Arts (NCCA), National Book Development Board (NBDB), the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) and the Office of Senator Loren Legarda.
