The Belarusian Book Institute, as a public initiative, was founded to unite authors, translators, publishers, audiobook producers, readers, book distributors, book designers, illustrators, graphic artists, librarians, critics, scholars, bloggers, volunteers and activists, patrons as well as public initiatives and organizations engaged in Belarusian book matters. The Belarusian Book Institute is supported and works for common goals with the Representative on Education and National Revival of the United Transitional Cabinet of Belarus, founded in 2022 to develop and implement the solutions needed to secure a democratic change in Belarus.

The objectives are:

• expanding the area of distribution of Belarusian books and promoting the Belarusian language and culture;
• popularizing of reading in Belarusian and enhancement of the reading culture;
• creating a common platform for all participants in the Belarusian book industry;
• support of Belarusian book publishing initiatives.

Areas of cooperation:

• Support of Belarusian language publications (fiction; children's literature; non-fiction, and humanities);
• Support translations from different languages into Belarusian to increase the awareness of Belarusian readers about other cultures.
• Support of foreign language editions of Belarusian books, first of all, those that represent modern Belarusian independent      literature as well as give a general idea about Belarusian culture and literature;
• Help with contacts to authors/intellectuals (fiction, children's literature, intellectual literature) for participation in      Belarusian festivals and events;
• Inform about programs/events for possible cooperation (exchange programs, educational programs for librarians, activists,      publishers, authors and illustrators, book managers)
• Support for the participation of Belarusian artists (authors, publishers, translators, etc.) in foreign/international book and literary events: fairs, exhibitions, master classes, schools, etc.
