Westland Books is an independent trade publishing house, home to many of India’s award-winning and path-breaking writers. Westland is a pan-Indian, multi-language publisher with a 360-degree approach to trade publishing. Westland publishes both commercially successful writers like Rujuta Diwekar, Christopher Doyle and Anand Neelakantan as well as critically acclaimed writers like Amitav Ghosh (in the languages), Perumal Murugan (longlisted for the Man Booker International Prize 2022), Vinod Kumar Shukla (winner of the Nabokov Award 2022), K.R. Meera and Manoranjan Byapari, Sara Rai. Nilanjana Roy, Ranbir Siddhu, Mirza Wahid, Siddharth Deb in fiction, and Josy Joseph, Christophe Jaffrelot and TM Krishna in non-fiction. As part of India's largest online storytelling platform, Pratilipi (which has over 9,50,000 writers writing in 12 languages on the app and over 30 million daily active readers), apart from full-fledged trade publishing, Westland Books is taking its stories into multiple digital formats like audio books, e-serialisation on apps, comic books, motion comics, OTT platforms and podcasts (IVM).
