Rizzoli International Publishing, based in New York, began publishing operations in 1974. Since then, Rizzoli has become a leader in luxury illustrated book publishing.  Its imprints include Rizzoli, which publishes globally renowned books on Fashion & Accessories, Interior Design, Architecture, Photography, Entertaining, and Art; Rizzoli Universe, which focuses on pop culture, lifestyle, and entertainment; and Rizzoli Electa, which produces museum and exhibition catalogues in collaboration with sister company Mondadori Electa. In 2024, Rizzoli acquired Chelsea Green Publishing, a pioneer in books on sustainability, health, and wellness.

The company also operates the Rizzoli Bookstore—widely regarded as one of the most beautiful bookstores in the world—specializing in literature, the arts, and design, and located in Manhattan’s trend-setting NOMAD neighborhood.
