Regal House Publishing, named "Independent Publisher of the Year" in 2021 by Foreword Reviews, is an independent traditional press based in Raleigh, NC. We have just celebrated our 10th year anniversary on the cover of the April 22, 2024 edition of Publishers Weekly, the first edition to focus on independent publishing and bookselling. Regal House publishes 45 titles a year, with a focus on contemporary, literary, and historical fiction; Regal House has two imprints, Fitzroy Books, that publishes chapter books for young readers (middle grade), and young adult fiction, and Pact Press, that publishes anthologies and memoirs that pertain to social and environmental justice. Regal House, in addition, has a nonprofit arm, Regal House Initiative, that supports literary projects and outreach to benefit our broader local and global communities.
