Established in 1945, Polskie Wydawnictwo Muzyczne (PWM), has already been specialising in publishing scores and books about classical music, jazz, and now, more frequently, film music. PWM’s materials, marked with a characteristic yellow logo, are used by the youngest students of the musical arts, renowned artists, orchestras, lecturers and many music lovers alike. The publishing house's wide range of publications includes extensive catalogue of books and lexicographical publications on early and contemporary music, including educational, scientific and popular publications, as well as sheet music for amateurs and professionals. Responding to the expectations of contemporary audiences, in 2019 PWM expanded its activities with a new record label – ANAKLASIS. As the publisher of Ruch Muzyczny Magazine, the company creates a space for artistic dialogue and scientific reflection, the exchange of ideas and the shaping of aesthetic awareness. The resources collected in the institution's archives since its inception are made available in the Polish Music Library – a digital database containing often unique sheet music and iconographic materials. PWM initiates educational activities that promote artistic creation and activity, including the Music Editing Course and the latest series of podcasts, DNA Muzyki Polskiej (The DNA of Polish Music).
