The Macedonian Association of Publishers (MAI) is an independent, non-profit and voluntary association, which works in an organized manner on the professional development and improvement of its membership.

Publishers who join it voluntarily, have accepted its statute and work with common goals and interests in the field of promotion of publishing, production of books, their distribution and sale are members of the association. For the achievement of these goals, the work of the association is public. This is achieved through timely, complete and truthful information to its membership and the wider public about issues within the scope of the association's work.

As an organization that has existed since 2016, the Macedonian Association of Publishers (MAI) focuses on activities that contribute to the advancement of the work of its members.
