The beginnings of Georgetown University Press can be traced to 1964—and we currently publish approximately forty new titles per year, with an active list of more than 1,000 titles across the fields of languages & linguistics, international affairs, religion & theology, political science, regional studies, and global business and the global economy.
These publications primarily service the scholarly community, and many also reach the general reading public. Many help to unite people speaking different languages, literally and figuratively, and all attempt to illuminate, clarify, and respond to the world’s most difficult questions.
